There are a few things to consider when developing an e-commerce application for the Japanese:
- Domain Registration - Domain registration of a Japanese domain (.jp) is difficult or impossible outside of Japan. We will register a Japanese domain for you.
- Content Localization - The text of your website or software will need to be translated in to Japanese Kanji. We will translate your existing application to Japanese using a dictionary file so that your site will be available in both English and Japanese. The appropriate language will be presented based on the users' browser and location.
- Graphic Design - Your site might look great in English but it may not be visually appealing to Japanese people. In Japan, logos and icons are often made to be "kawaii" or cute. We have graphic artists in Japan that will create an attractive Japanese logo and icon set for your application.
- Online Payment - Online payment is still something that Japanese people are not entirely comfortable with, especially if your website isn't already well known. There is no PayPal in Japan, and people will hesitate to enter their credit card information online. As an alternative, we use services such as BitWallet that are popular with young Japanese people to make online payments. Additionally, we can provide a Japanese bank account that will allow you further flexibility when accepting payments online or offline.
